New Guinness World Record!

Sometime in late 2021 or early 2022, Space Mission Architects will launch the SMA-2 Micro in an attempt to claim the world’s record for the smallest rocket ever to launch a satellite into space, a record currently held by the Japanese SS 520-5. The Micro is a three stage vehicle comprised or two solid fuel lower stages and a liquid fuel upper stage. Through the use of proprietary technology, the solid fuel motors achieve an Isp of well over 300. All of the stages utilize fuels which are stable at ambient temperature and do not require pressurization, cooling, or off-loading in case of an abort. Simplicity and reliability are key to all of SMA’s designs.
